SHOP LIFE, JUNE '25 LOOKBOOK
We invite you to the first of many seasonal lookbooks, Shop Life at 25 Dunmore Street, where Borthwick was founded. Come into our studio/shop and share our appreciation for locally made, good honest products made by the finest UK artisans. The 'wear' for makers kicks off our first collection.

Work/Life Wear - Made in Scotland

The brand started with the desire to make a coat. Founder Diane's love of coats, yes, she is a self-professed coat addict, led her to meet the maker who convinced her to produce locally. The Made in Scotland label attached to the collection not only officiates this but behind the scenes champions the textile artisans working on home soil.

Traditional workwear combined with the hands (no machines) that make the coats in Fife inspired the first in a series of outerwear styles. Up first (shown in navy blue) the Blane work coat - made in sanded canvas and sourced from the renowned Brisbane Moss mill in West Yorkshire is designed for trade and available to all. Tried and tested by our trade friends, this coat is a staple single breasted light weight coat with press studs and standard three pockets. Available now in 3 colours.

The coat named after the street it was born on - the Dunmore barn coat is made in a soft touch panama weave mid weight quality to take you through the seasons. Corduroy trims and natural corozo buttons finish the coat. Credit again to Brisbane Moss and Courtney & Co. the Button Maker. Both styles are available in men's and women's fit.

We've put our mark on the Main St. Apron by delivering hundred's of them in the last year to our food & drink sector friends. The Main St. Apron in waxed cotton is sourced no less than 50 miles away from leading weatherproof fabric supplier Halley Stevensons in Dundee. A firm favourite for summer bbq's and one for the home craft maker.
The shop life lookbook plays into our ethos of appreciating slow style, craftsmanship and quality durable goods for a modern lifestyle. Enjoy and thanks to all our customers for your continued support - we really do appreciate it!
Special thanks to:
KC Manufacturing, Brisbane Moss, Courtney & Co. Button Maker, Halley Stevensons, Otago Street Collective, Model Team Scotland and the brilliant Jamie Turner (Model).
